Tucked away in a peaceful pocket of the Yorkshire Dales, Neddy Meadow is a newly converted barn offering a restful, rural retreat in the heart of Swaledale. Set within two private acres just outside the village of Grinton, our two-bedroom cottage is the perfect base for walkers, cyclists, and anyone craving stillness, scenery, and starlit skies.


With views of rolling meadows, dry stone walls, and the Swale glinting in the valley below, you’re free to unwind, roam, and reconnect with nature — all with the comforts of home.

Neddy Meadow has been lovingly restored in 2025 as a cosy and characterful holiday cottage for up to four guests.


  • 2 bedrooms – one double, one twin
  • Open-plan living space with a fully equipped kitchen and comfy seating
  • Wood-burning stove for cosy evenings in
  • Wi-Fi & TV for lazy mornings or rainy days
  • EV charger for eco-conscious explorers
  • Secure bike storage with a separate wash/drying room

Step outside and you're already on the trail. Neddy Meadow is ideally placed for outdoor adventures, just a short stroll from Grinton, Reeth, and the Dales Bike Centre. The Swale Trail runs right past the drive, with the river Swale meandering below and endless paths to roam in every direction.


You're also within walking distance of:

  • Some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the Yorkshire Dales

Out with the old, in with the new. As we’re in a #darkskies area, we have to have specific types of lights, they can’t shine up at all. The old ones didn’t, but they weren’t the prettiest lights. We chose these new ones as we think they’re in keeping with an old style country barn. #swaledale #holidaycottage #neddymeadow
